Community Development Specialist

**Position Summary**:
The Community Development Specialist works on assigned projects related to grant administration, public housing, workforce development, and other related community development projects. The Community Development Specialist will assist in business development as well as project work and will provide general assistance to non-profit, public and private sector clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Sample Project 1: Assist with housing relocation of current public housing residents by providing case management support and referral services to participating/assigned households in addition to assistance with mobility counseling, unit identification and relocation.
- Sample Project 4: Propose, create and provide training and education to eligible workers through standing and ad hoc Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Minimum of an associate’s degree in the human services fields or two (2) years of equivalent experience
- Previous work with a state or other public agency or human development related non-profit organization.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Lived experience in various professional roles and various types of nonprofit organizations and structures
- Experience providing technical assistance and consulting to organizational leaders
- Experience developing and delivering trainings, webinars and group presentations

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
