**Salary: $18.57 - $27.31 Hourly**

**To Qualify**

**Minimum Qualifications. Applicants must**:

- Possess a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Be able to maintain physical fitness and sufficient strength to control struggling or disabled swimmers**.**
- Be able to communicate clearly and concisely**.**
- Possess basic skills in the use of a computer and administrative support software to prepare correspondence and reports.
- Successfully meet the State of Florida good moral character and Level II background screening standards (Florida State Statutes 435.01-435.06)**.**

**Desirable Qualifications. Preferred applicants**:

- Have some supervisory experience as a lifeguard at a public swimming pool**.**
- Are skilled in swimming, rescue work, resuscitation and first aid**.**
- Have completed the National Swimming Pool Foundation's Certified Pool Operators course.
- Possess the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Trainer and American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer Certificates.
- Have considerable knowledge of the methods and techniques related to teaching swimming, water safety and lifesaving classes**.**
- Are able to organize and direct the activities of swimming pool employees.
- Have experience using ActiveNet, KRONOS, and Oracle iProcurement computer software programs.
