**Job Summary**:
This position is located in the lab of Dr. Ozioma Okonkwo, within the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Okonkwo co-leads the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) Engagement Core, which is dedicated to 1) increasing the engagement of underrepresented populations (URPs) in the landmark ADNI study; 2) cultivating a competent workforce to work with URPs; and 3) investigating ethnocultural disparities in dementia.

**Education**:
Required
Terminal Degree
PhD preferred, though other doctoral-level degree holders (e.g., MD/DO, PsyD, PharmD, etc.) are also eligible to apply. Study in psychology, neuroscience, social work, public health, biomedical engineering, computer sciences, the life sciences, or other related fields strongly preferred.

**Qualifications**:
Required:

- Experience with statistical programming languages (such as R, SPSS) in order to interact efficiently with large amounts of data.

Preferred:

- Experience being part of an academic clinical research group
- Experience with supervision or mentorship of research personnel
- Experience with scientific writing
- Familiarity with research on diverse populations and community-engaged research methodology
- Experience with analyses of brain images, behavioral data, and/or health disparities data

**Work Type**:
Full or Part Time: 80% - 100%

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

**Salary**:
**Minimum** $68,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications
The anticipated minimum starting salary for the position is $68,000 for hire as Scientist I, $73,000 as Scientist II, or $78,000 for Scientist III. Starting salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

**Additional Information**:
Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles listed in this posting. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.
