- Friday 8: 30 A. M. - 5: 00 P. M.
- Would work at the Hospice of Southern Illinois Administration Building located at 305 South Illinois Street, Belleville, IL 62220. This is not a remote position.
- Hospice of Southern Illinois is certified by the State of Illinois and is in compliance with the registration requirements of the Illinois Equal Pay Act.

- Essential Functions
- Knowledgeable of patient billing process in Suncoast and Great Plains, including the reconciliation process.
- Ability to file claims electronically and manually based on financial class submission requirements.
- Ability to post payments/adjustments accurately to patient accounts.
- Competent in completing general ledger journal entries.
- Manage all aspects related to timely filing of claims, including correcting claim errors and resubmissions.
- Displays a high degree of understanding of Medicaid/MCO billing requirements and processes.
- Assist with ongoing Accounts Receivable review process, including identification and resolution of specific claim issues. Diligent follow
- Up with insurance companies that can lead to positive outcomes for Hospice of Southern Illinois.
- Competent in the authorization processes for all payor sources.
- Knowledge of Nursing Home Medicaid Room and Board billing process.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Direct Pay billing process, including the billing of deductibles and copAys. This process may require interaction with patients and/or families.
- Ability to enter and manage claims in DDE (Direct Data Entry), Medi (Illinois Medicaid) and Medicaid HMO portals.
- Understanding of benefit periods and certification/recertification processes. Including the monitoring and submission of re

- Competent to create all Medicare Notice of Elections (81As) and terminations (81Bs) in Suncoast Solutions and CMS Direct Data Entry System and/or submission of Medicaid Notices of Elections (1592's) and terminations (1594's) to Illinois Medicaid and/or Medicaid HMO's.

- Knowledgeable in telephone system and call/message forwarding protocol.
