Drywall Estimator

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and other project documents to understand the scope of work and requirements for drywall installation.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
- Quantify materials needed for drywall installation, including gypsum board, joint compound, fasteners, and insulation, based on project specifications and measurements.
- Calculate labor costs by estimating the amount of time and manpower required to complete the drywall installation.
- Research and evaluate prices for materials and subcontractor services to ensure competitive and accurate cost estimates.
- Prepare detailed and itemized estimates, including material quantities, labor costs, overhead, and profit margins, using estimation software or spreadsheets.
- Present estimates to clients and participate in bid meetings to discuss project requirements, timelines, and costs.
- Review and revise estimates as necessary based on changes in project scope, specifications, or market conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documentation for reference and historical analysis.
- Coordinate with purchasing departments to procure materials and subcontractor services according to project requirements and budgetary constraints.
- Provide support to project teams during the pre-construction phase, including value engineering and alternative material suggestions to optimize project costs.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

- Strong knowledge of construction estimating and management principles
- Proficiency in budgeting and cost control
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other construction documents
- Experience using construction management software such as HeavyBid or similar programs
- Excellent supervisory and leadership abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Problem-solving skills to address issues that may arise during construction projects
- **Must have basic Knowledge of all construction trades**:

- **Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish** to comunicate with the technicians**

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
