**Responsibilities**:

- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and trenchers to perform site grading, excavation, and trenching for underground utilities.
- Safely and efficiently maneuver machinery to excavate and backfill trenches, ensuring proper depth and alignment according to project plans and specifications.
- Install underground utilities such as water lines, sewer pipes, and drainage systems, while adhering to established standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and fellow crew members to coordinate work activities and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and address any mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including equipment usage, materials used, and project progress

**Qualifications**:

- Must be able to work in team setting
- Pipe experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to excavation and trenching operations.
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment, specifically for site work and underground utilities.
- OSHA 10 and/or 30 Preferred

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to sit for long periods while operating machinery.
- Capable of getting in and out of the machine multiple times throughout the day.
- Comfortable climbing up and down steps or ladders of the equipment.
- Physically capable to work on your feet and lift/move material productively
- Ability to withstand exposure to outdoor elements such as heat, cold, and precipitation.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks consistently throughout the day.
- The job may require working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- May involve exposure to loud noise, vibrations, and dust.
