**_Basic Responsibilities (but not limited to):_**

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure there is quality testing all the time; carry out inspections so as to meet the standard set by the organization.
- Collect regular samples for shelf life and analysis at the laboratory.
- Prepare documents and report for each sample badges at an appropriate time.
- Encourage and enforce cleanliness on the part of the staff and ensure safe working conditions.
- Focus on corrective actions in orders to make sure that products meet required specifications.
- Initiate training for workers concerning how to mix proper badges for each product, according to weight, amount, and step by step process.
- Maintain all documentation for the purpose of auditing
- Work with the Quality Control/Assurance Supervisor regarding specific information relating to product information and production
- Report bottlenecks to the Quality Control/Assurance Supervisor
- Engage in quality calibrations and internal audits in a professional manner
- Constant updating of job knowledge by reading technical publications, participating in seminars and other educational opportunities
- Mentor lower cadre employees and lead them effectively
- Ensure measuring equipment is functioning properly and call for repairs where equipment are faulty.
- Approve finished products for onward moving to warehouse
- Co-operate with government agencies during inspections in order to meet and maintain high production standards.
- Work with management and production managers to ensure that only quality products are produced.
- Constantly be looking at Air table; looking at specific measures and weights to properly blend products; updating documentation.
- Remove bad product that are discovered during the production process.
- Monitor every stage of production to avoid product defects.
- Write reports and submit same to the QC/QA Supervisor.
- Record test results as required
- Work as a team under the supervision of the Quality Control/Assurance Supervisor
- Communicating with QC/QA team, and helping each other at all times.
- Conduct in house pathogens tests
- Assists in project management initiative daily
- Report and deficiencies to supervisors

**Safety**:

- Comply with SQF Food Safety requirements.
- Follow GMPs Policy.
- Follow defined HACCP Plan Guidelines.
- Provide feedback to immediate supervisor on Continuous Improvement Opportunities and Identified Non-Conformances.
- Record assigned daily activities and ensure records are legible, clear, concise and accurate.
- Keep working area clean and follow cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Report any pest sighting throughout the facility.
- Minimize risk of biological, chemical and physical contamination by following GMPs, Allergen, and Foreign Matter Contamination Policies.
- Report any suspicious threat concerning product adulteration or contamination.

**EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience.

**EDUCATION NEEDED**
- High School Diploma

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
- Able to lift 50-100 pounds occasionally at or above waist height.
- Able to bend, stretch and perform tasks that may be awkward at times.
