Handyman Services

We are looking for a hardworking Handyman to oversee and manage a wide range of repairs, typically for individuals or groups at residential or commercial locations. These tasks include trade skills, repair work, maintenance work etc.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- General handyman work and remodeling tasks for residences such as rough and finish carpentry, drywall patching, install/adjust windows and doors, plumbing, electrical work and other residential projects.
- Regular preventive maintenance such as exterior caulking, bathroom caulking, adjusting doors/drawers, changing smoke detector batteries, cleaning drains and various odd jobs.
- Communicate to client the type of work that is being performed, associated costs and any follow up that may be required.
- Knowledge to troubleshoot various residential home issues that arise.
- Estimate height, width, length, and other proportions.
- Work with blueprints, design details or instructions from supervisors.
- Work on top of ladders, beams of buildings and roof.
- Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, devises and equipment to preform duties.
- Hang Doors, and drill/set door hardware
- Erect scaffolding.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Cut, shape, and assemble wood, composition, and/or plastic sections with shop tools and equipment such as planers, jointers, shaper, routers, sanders, and various power saws.
- Assemble prepared components for various structures, including cabinets, bookcases, desks, and paneled doors.
- Perform related duties as assigned or needed.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

Must have knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, and safety. To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform this job successfully, and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Able to read blueprints.
- Proficient in carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills.
- Able to interact with clients and coworkers on project site.
- Able to resolve problems efficiently.
- Able to work largely unsupervised for long periods of time
- Possess an eye for fine detail. They must be very precise and exact with measurements and cutting tools.
- Has high degree of dexterity, physical strength, stamina and the ability to work long hours in all sorts of climates, temperature and conditions
- Possession of own carpentry tools, hand and power tools and various miscellaneous tools.
- Must be reliable
