Event Planning Coordinator

The California Rifle and Pistol Association is hiring for a Event Planner and Development Coordinator to work in the Development Department. This position will report directly to the Development Director. The position will be mostly remote with some work in the office in Fullerton, CA when required and attendance at events and speaking engagements. The position will be expected to attend the events that are planned in a professional manner and prepare detailed reports regarding each event. The position will gain knowledge working for the company and will be expected to speak at small gatherings of donors in the future.

Standard work week is Monday-Friday from 8:30-5PM but because this job works events and with volunteers, there may be some alternate work schedules and travel within the state as assigned by supervisor.

The CRPA Event Planning Assistant will be expected to do the following:
2) Have experience with full event planning and securing sponsorships or donations for raffles and giveaways.

3) Proficient with computer
- MS Word, Excel, and reporting. Be very organized and able to create pre and post reports for events.

4) Assist with developing relationships with donors and like-minded groups across the state.

5) Assist with research and outreach to donors and potential donors and bring creativity to the job for new ways of engaging members and donors.

**Requirements**:

- College degree and excellent writing skills
- At least 2 years working with donors or with a non-profit organization with members and donors.
- At least 2 years event planning for nonprofit organizations.
- Team player-we are looking for someone who is committed and willing to help others in the office and work with other departments
- High level of experience with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, marketing events and prmotions, and others
- High energy, creative, and ready to meet people

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
