**Qualifications**:

- Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency and pass fingerprinting and criminal background check.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of (1) year of toddler lead teacher experience in a licensed childcare facility
- Knowledge and understanding of all current state and local regulations

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide a positive and nurturing environment for the children
- Provide a clean and attractive, well-kept classroom with all bulletin boards current
- Implement the Childrens Lighthouse toddler curriculum
- Communicate to parents frequently - verbally and in writing - using the prescribed Childrens Lighthouse technology
- Ability to effectively build trust and relationships with the parents and students
- Accept responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds
- Maintain the Childrens Lighthouse professional appearance, attitude and work behavior
- Assist in other capacities as determined by the Director
- Attend all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions as determined by the Director
- Observe all rules and regulations of Childrens Lighthouse and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children

**Work Environment**:

- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs - Will frequently lift as in lifting, carrying and holding children in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
- Required to stand up to 90% of the day
- Must be able to stoop, bend and sit on a child's level
- Able to physically and mentally interact and react to children on the playground and/or in the classroom, and attend to their needs
- Must have the energy level required to do the job

**Upon Employment**:

- First Aid and CPR training, as required
- Successfully pass
- Minimum of 18 years old

**Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to the Director**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
