Summer Camp Sports Specialist

**Camp Sports Specialist (Grades K-5)**

**Compensation**: $16.50 per hour

**Reports To**: Camp Coordinator

**Supervision exercised**:None

**Position Summary**:Plans, coordinates, and instructs P.E., camp, and sport themed activities to varying age groups daily.

**Essential Functions**:

- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and instructing P.E., camp, and sport themed activities daily to approximately 120 campers.
- Will lead planned activities during designated “Sports” time to groups of 20 campers for 60 minute blocks
- Ensure that all children follow rules and policies on site
- Undertaking proper emergency procedures when necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Must be available for 8:45am-3:15pm Monday - Friday July 1 through August 9

**Qualifications**
- Must have demonstrated experience and knowledge in the field of Sports/P.E.
- Must have creativity, enthusiasm, and limitless energy.
- Must be able to follow directions, schedules, be organized and interact well with other counselors, supervisors, parents and children
- Must be able to remain focused during all types of weather conditions (hot, humid, sunny, wet, rainy)

**Working conditions**:

- Work may be performed in an outdoor environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
