**Position Title**: Roofer Job Code: U52345

**Purpose of the position**
Will perform all phases of roofing duties as a PAE employee onsite at the NASA Johnson Space Center, Ellington Field and Sonny Carter Training Facility.
**Principal Responsibilities of the Position**
- All phases of roofing.

**Education and Experience Requirements**
- Be able to operate Man Lifts and Bucket Trucks.
- Must be experienced in roof repair and maintenance of membrane type systems, cold tar, and epoxy/caulk systems.
- Must have a High School Diploma
**Requirements**:
- Must be able to obtain, and maintain, the required NASA badge to access the worksite.
- Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner.
- Must have, and maintain, a valid Texas driver’s license.
**Special Knowledge and Skills Required**
- This position is located onsite at NASA JSC and requires US Citizenship.
- Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment background check and drug screen test.
- Clean, neat, and professional personal appearance.
- Will insure quality and completeness of work in a safe and timely manner as well as insuring areas worked are clean, neat and ready for customers needs when complete.

**Physical Requirements**
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Dexterity to operate office and field equipment as required by the position.
- In good physical shape/condition for climbing in and out of tight restricted working areas, as applicable.
- Able to climb stairs with no restrictions consistently.
- No fear of heights.

**Preferences**
- Prior knowledge of NASA site, experienced with working on government installations preferred.
