Washington, United States Platform of Hope DC Full time

**ABOUT PLATFORM OF HOPE**
The mission of the Platform of Hope is to enhance the ability of families of color to define and pursue success while building community by connecting them with coaching, services and one another. Together, we amplify the experiences of DC area families and address systemic barriers to success.

The Platform of Hope began as a pilot program in September 2018 to combat the displacement of low-income families of color from Adams Morgan/ Ward 1 by supporting families in accessing resources and connecting to their community. Now in our sixth year, the Platform of Hope is stepping into its own as a community-based organization with a new “Phase II” strategic plan to lead the next five years of programmatic impact, mature our organization and stabilize operations.

Our program works to change the paradigm of traditional social services delivery to center the voices of families in making holistic decisions about their lives and uphold social capital between families as a key factor for long-term success. POH's model integrates housing, education, employment, family stability, physical health, mental health, etc., to partner with families to identify their goals and then self-direct plans to accomplish them. The Platform of Hope strives towards our vision where families of color in DC neighborhoods achieve greater social, financial, and overall wellness in their lives and community.

**EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ROLE**
The Executive Director is a visionary, dynamic, and strategic leader responsible for leading Platform of Hope (POH) 's mission of empowering families of color and immigrant families in the DC area. This role ensures organizational sustainability program success, identifies and maintains new and existing external partnerships, and ensures equitable, values-based internal operations. The Executive Director also drives the internal and external functions, including fund development, finances, strategy, communications, community engagement, and program oversight. This will be the organization’s second Executive Director, following the founding Executive Director who is stepping down in summer 2024. The Platform of Hope has a staff of 6 currently, 4 full-time and 2 part-time, as well as a small number of contractors for supporting roles (fundraising, communications).

The Executive Director will build and maintain strong relationships with staff, the Advisory Board, partners, donors and families. Please note that Social Good Fund fiscally sponsors the Platform of Hope; therefore, the Executive Director will be an employee of Social Good Fund.
