Medical Assistant/pct

**Summary**:Assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of Physician by performing the following duties. Travel required.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts
- Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments
- Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials
- Operates electrocardiograph (EKG), treadmill, and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests
- Screens telephone calls for physicians
- Preps patients for Treadmill Stress Test
- Performs Treadmill Stress Test as required
- Returns patient phone calls
- Calls in patient prescriptions
- Answers triage calls
- Travel Required
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Other related duties may be assigned
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Knowledge in medical terminology.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- Must speak Spanish.
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
