**SUMMARY**

The Tool & Die Maker position is responsible for the manufacture and maintenance for tooling needed for production.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Primary responsibilities include keeping production running with mínimal down time.
- Must be able to read prints
- Must do precision machining
- Will operate machine tools such as Bridgeport Mills lathes and surface grinders.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE**
- Must be able to obtain a Tool & Die Maker Journeyman's card. Qualifications to receive a card:

- to have served a bona fide apprenticeship and present a certificate which substantiates claims of having satisfactorily completed an apprenticeship program similar to that at AM General;
- who has had eight (8) years practical experience at the trade and can establish satisfactory proof thereof to the Company and the Union, by means of notarized affidavit,
- or present a UAW Journeyperson's Card.

**WAGES**

Skilled Trades hourly wage: $32.39

**PHYSICAL EFFORT**

Physical activity. Must be able to walk, stand, lift, push/pull, use hand tools to perform tasks. Must be able to physically support a manufacturing environment through evaluation of on the floor issue resolution and problem solving. Must be able to safely use a hoist, including strapping/rigging. Must be able to climb ladders.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**

May be required to work with others and on multiple projects per day. 1st and 2nd shift positions available depending on seniority.

Overtime required as necessary.
