**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**:

- Instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Maintain the health and safety of all children

**Job Requirements**
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields preferred
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- At times you may be asked to assist in another room
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Attends monthly team meetings, classroom meetings and staff development workshop
- Adhere to dress code; if designated, take calls and messages in a polite, helpful manner
- Maintains confidentiality;
- Must have a current medical with a proof of required immunizations as well as DCFS required trainings (15 hours/year) and forms with 3 reference letters.
- Must pass the background check
- Must be a member of Gateway to Opportunity
- A criminal reference check and verification of medical suitability will be required as specified in Licensing Regulations.
