**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
Serve as a senior leader of the company and manage a high functioning tax team that supports all the Clark companies
Attract and hire top talent for the right roles and maintain our company’s culture as we grow
Cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit of fail fast (but smart), fail cheap, learn fast, and “get stuff done”
Build close working relationships with senior business leaders, serve as a strategic tax thought partner, and educate colleagues on tax topics / concepts
Lead strategic projects to further develop the scalability of the Clark companies
Provide clean, clear, and easy to understand tax analysis to enable senior business leaders to manage day-to-day operations and make key decisions
Select, manage, and evaluate relationships with external advisors to address specific needs
Identify and implement continual improvements within tax processes, teaming, and organization
Continually monitor tax trends and assess the impact / level of risk exposure on the business
Provide tax advice on, including but not limited to:
- Income tax planning and filings
- Corporate pass-through structures
- Tax incentives
- Financial and tax audits
- Indirect tax compliance and administration
- Internally developed tax systems
- Shareholder activity
- Clark charitable activity

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Adapts well to an entrepreneurial and continually changing environment
Ability to effectively manage and communicate with all levels of the organization
Self-motivated with a passion for excellence
Critical thinker with the ability to get to the best answer required of the situation quickly
Humble and a true team player that brings out the best in others
Prior experience leading and building teams
10+ years of progressive, related experience
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
