Duties:

- Groom pets according to specific breed standards and customer preferences and Scenthound standards
- Bathe, dry and brush pets
- Trim nails, clean ears and brush teeth
- Ensure the safety and well-being of pets while grooming.
- Create an environment conducive to learning, open communication, and teamwork
- Identify when or where help is needed and provide assistance to keep scenter on schedule
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area
- Daily/Weekly and Monthly Cleaning of grooming salon as assigned
- Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices
- Follow up with leads and customers
- Appointment setting with customers
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the scenter Manager

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a pet groomer or in a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of different dog breeds and their specific grooming needs
- Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
- Knowledge of animal behavior and ability to recognize signs of stress or discomfort in pets
- Ability to restrain animals when necessary for their safety and the safety of others
- Basic knowledge of animal care, including nutrition, health, and hygiene
- Familiarity with veterinary procedures and ability to identify potential health issues in pets
- Keen eye for details and solid time management

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
