Purchasing Agent

Charles Meisner, Inc. ( a family owned Aerospace company ) is looking for a Purchasing Agent for purchasing of materials, supplies, and services at the best possible price while maintaining the highest level of quality and ensuring timely delivery. Will be required to answer phones, and interface with people entering our business. Our company provides services and products in support of the military, aircraft, and defense industry.

**JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Determines appropriate vendors based on approved vendor qualifications, price, quality and availability per documented procedures in coordination with the Quality Department.
- Submits new / updated vendor surveys for the Quality Department per procedures.
- Negotiates with vendors for pricing and delivery.
- Prepares purchase requisitions for evaluation.
- Monitors, and maintains a digital file of inventory levels of finished products.
- Follow up on purchases, and designated jobs.
- Interface, and review open orders with customers.

As Necessary, employee will be required to perform other various duties of which the above are representative.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:
General computer and office skills, including Excel, and Word are a must. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.

**MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS**:

- Use of computer hardware and software
- Microsoft Word and Excel
- Mathematics skills
- Ability to interact with a team of coworkers.
- Skills in preparing written reports.
- Written communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Able to comprehend documents written in English.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
