Sterile Tech

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team. As a Sterilization Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of medical equipment and instruments. Your expertise in sterile processing and aseptic techniques will be essential in maintaining a sterile environment. **Duties**:

- Perform sterilization procedures on medical equipment and instruments according to established protocols
- Clean and decontaminate equipment using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques
- Inspect instruments for damage or defects and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
- Assemble instrument sets and ensure proper packaging for sterilization
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, including load contents, cycle parameters, and biological indicator results
- Follow infection control guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Sterilization Technician or in a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing techniques and aseptic practices
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Ability to accurately follow instructions and protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members

Note: This is a paid position.

**Job Type**: Contract

Pay: $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
