Act as a catalyst in fostering a strategic, data-driven culture across the City of Lake Forest

The City of Lake Forest seeks a self-motivated & innovative individual to join our team as Assistant to the City Manager, focusing on collaborative cross-department advancements, while touching and impacting all City operations.

This position will assist in the creation of new organizational capabilities, both technical and people-driven, to ensure a steady stream of process improvements and innovations. Work assignments range from very specific to very general responsibilities - these are normally performed under mínimal supervision given the interdepartmental aspects of the work assignments. This position will have a strong focus on data analytic initiatives while improving cross-departmental engagement.

The **full salary range **for this position is** **$96,390-$125,166**
- Starting salary dependent on qualifications. Annual progression based on merit.

**Examples of Duties**:
Under the guidance of the Assistant City Manager, assist the City Manager’s office by carrying out special projects, serving as a liaison to council commissions, and providing administrative and customer service support:

- Liaison to Environmental Sustainability Committee and Legal Committee
- Conduct research, procedural, and administrative studies to support departments in their courses of action
- Prepare reports and communications for workgroups to present at City Council and management meeting
- Responsible for assigned projects, analyzing different approaches, and making recommendations on how to manage the project and related issues
- Participate in various City projects such as policy changes, union negotiations, and exploring municipal opportunities
- Additional responsibilities may include, assisting with residents, preparing materials, and responding to questions and phone calls

**Qualifications**:
