Optician/receptionist

Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assist customers in selecting eyewear frames that complement their features and meet their prescription needs
- Take accurate measurements to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses
- Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and materials based on their lifestyle and prescription
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Maintain inventory of frames and lenses, ensuring a diverse selection for customers
- Process orders and maintain accurate patient records
- Assist with front desk tasks: including insurance verification, claim submission

Preferred Requirements:

- Proficiency in optical systems and equipment
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for maintaining cleanliness of eyewear
- Understanding of anatomy related to the eyes and vision correction
- Familiarity with optical terminology and products
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Experience with medical coding and billing procedures
- Preferred background in ophthalmology or optometry settings
- Familiarity with Crystal PM or other electronic medical records systems
