Description:
It is the expectation of the shipping / receiving clerk to document, process, and keep record of incoming and outgoing materials.

Monitor inventory levels, identifying stock overages and shortages and respond appropriately. Organizing materials and tooling so high usage items are most assessable. Work with Purchasing to order supplies as needed. Operate in a support role to the shop and field, always conduct operations professionally and in a safe manner.

**Requirements**:
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process all material receipts physically and electronically.
- Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
- Must have 2+ years of forklift experience/certification
- Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Assists in monitoring and tracking inventory levels and procure items as needed.
- Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
- Assists in Tool tracking - ensure tooling is kept organized / tracked / and in proper condition
- Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
- Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Keep an organized and efficient tool and stock room.
- Required to make pick-ups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials as needed.
- Must have clean driving record

OTHER EXPECTATIONS
- Assist in tool load out and tracking as requested
- Use forklift to offload and organize materials in both the shop and yard.
- Prepare load, tie-down loads, and ensure safe practices utilized for transport.
