position of System Operator/Production Systems Coordinator. This position performs

various duties, including activities such as repairs and maintenance to our production and

SCADA equipment.

Qualified applicants must have at a minimum; a high school diploma or equivalent, a

valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and any equivalent combination of experience and

training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and physical abilities to perform

the essential job functions. Qualified applicants must also possess a valid Pennsylvania

Commercial Driver's License Class B with hazmat and a current Pennsylvania

Department of Environmental Protection Waterworks Operator Class 8 with sub-classes

5,7-12 and successful completion of a background check, physical and drug screen.

Additionally, after-hours on-call duty is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all ground water production and surface water

distribution per the NWWA standard operating procedures and the Emergency Response Plan. Operates

and monitors all wells, transfer stations and tank facilities in the NWWA distribution system. Administers

and maintains the SCADA system, by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor and maintain adequate tank levels and water supply in all pressure zones and satellite systems

Communicate with Forest Park to maintain proper tank levels

In addition to overall day to day supervision, bimonthly (typically 2x pr month)on call system operator.

Monitors and responds to system alarms 24 hours 7 days per week

Operate the system in accordance with all federal and state regulations regarding water quality

Maintain all SCADA system and production system equipment

Work with SCADA system integrators to maintain and upgrade equipment as needed

Water Quality sampling at well locations and throughout the distribution system to comply with federal

and state regulations

Adjust, troubleshoot and facilitate repair of pumps, valves and automatic control related equipment

Clean, repair and regulate chemical treatment injection equipment

Keep in stock replacement materials for repairs on key equipment as per Emergency Response Plan.

Procures, delivers and maintains an inventory of treatment chemicals such as chlorine gas, sodium

hypochlorite, liquid and calcium hypochlorite tablets, caustic soda and phosphates per the established

procedures

Monitor security for all remote facilities

Facilitate all regular maintenance and inspections of water tanks

Submittal of weekly, monthly system status reports to management

Climb down into meter vaults (confined spaces) and up ladders to access equipment

Other:
It is required for individuals in this position to be available by telephone after hours and on the weekend

for an emergency situation.

Maintain NWWA vehicles and equipment as defined in the established processes
