**DESCRIPTION**

Under direction of the assigned supervisor, coordinates the Extended Opportunities Programs and Services (EOPS), Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE), and NextUp programs; plans and oversees the work performed by EOPS/CARE/NextUp staff; and provides outreach for the EOPS, CARE, and NextUp programs and services.

**SALARY AND BENEFITS**
Salary Range (31): The monthly starting salary range is $5,157 - $5,415. There are six annual step movements; initial placement will be at step 1, unless approved by the Superintendent/President.

Retirement: This position is eligible for CalPERS Retirement.

**REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES**
- ** **Coordinates the day-to-day functions of the EOPS & associated programs; Monitors workflow.
- Assists the Director of Financial Aid and EOPS in developing and administering the EOPS & associated programs, monitors the EOPS& associated programs budget, including preparation of purchasing requisitions; and makes recommendations to program Director regarding the delivery of services.
- Assists in the preparation of annual reports such as Program Plan, Budget Plan, Year-End Report, Final Expenditure Report, and Allocation Plan as well as end-of-term MIS data submissions.
- Reviews and analyzes reports, records, and directives, and confers with others to obtain data required for planning EOPS& associated programs activities.
- Evaluates policies, procedures and practices for accomplishing the EOPS& associated programs objectives and mission and develops and recommends any modifications to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Financial Aid and assist in developing and administering grants, vouchers, student reimbursements and other services while monitoring student unmet need and program budget.
- Serves as a liaison between EOPS & associated programs students and other District programs; refers students to other departments, to foster youth partner programs, agencies, and other community resources.
- Assists foster youth student's guardians and advocates with social services that support student success.
- Plans and implements outreach activities; develops presentations, materials and resources; maintains web pages.
- Interprets and implements Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).
- Verifies students' EOPS & associated programs standing to evaluate continued eligibility.
- Assists with updating and maintaining EOPS& associated programs student files; monitors student progress and provides follow-up services; ensures compliance with all EOPS& associated programs policies and reporting requirements.
- May participate in the hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of student and short-term, non-continuing (STNC) employees.
- **_ _**Develops, revises, and maintains computer databases to track students; provides statistical information.
- Prepares and maintains a variety of correspondence, reports, documents, and forms;
- Maintains and organizes records and files.
- Prepares for audits and program review as needed; assists in resolving related issues.
- Supports front desk duties on an as-needed basis.
- Operates a variety of office equipment including a computer and related software (including Microsoft products), calculator, copier, and others as applicable.
- Attends meetings and conferences.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
