Holy Apostles has youth ranging in age from 0-17 years old. We are seeking a Youth MInister (YM) to lead youth ministry and support worship on Sundays. We have grown from 2-3 youth to over 40 in 7 years.
- have proven skills in developing and implementing creative programs for youth of all ages & love working with children,
- have a solid sense of God in their lives,
- have good organizational and leadership skills,
- have experience in education,
- be creative and be able to work collaboratively in an entrepreneurial/adaptive environment and take ownership of projects.
- Previous church experience (it does not have to be Episcopal) required

**Areas of Responsibility -**
- **Youth Ministry**:

- Develop and lead **Sunday school** modules ( Five: 4-5 week modules that follow the liturgical year - ie. Ordinary time, Advent, Epiphany, Lent, Pentecost) that the YM will teach. Work with 1-2 volunteers per module.
- YM will co-teach the Wednesday after school program with the priests. This will include curriculum development, as well as weekly setup and cleanup. YM will also be expected to stay for community dinner following afterschool to get to know families and other parishioners and will be responsible for indoor activities for the youth when they are done with dinner (dinner is over by 6:30)
- YM will lead **Faithful Families**, a once a month (either Friday evenings or Sunday late afternoon) program for children 4-8 and their families.
- YM will lead **youth group** once a month on either Friday or Saturday Evenings
- Develop and lead **2 weeks of Vacation Bible School **or something related during July
- After the regular program year ends in June, YM will have programming for toddlers in the undercroft during the 9am service through July (not including July 4th weekend)
- Christmas Pageant
- Palm Sunday & Holy Week

**Qualifications**:

- Previous church experience & knowledge and respect for the traditions of the Episcopal church
- Curriculum planning
- Teaching
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to use: Mail Chimp, Google Suite, Canva (or another design program) and other programs
- Good communication & follow up skills
- Leadership

Paid time off including the month of August

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $30,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No more than 18 per week
