We are seeking an independent contractor dedicated and compassionate Employment Specialist to join our team. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting our students of the upcoming CompTIA Computer Technician Program in finding sustainable entry level IT positions, such as help desk technician, network technician and desktop support administrator. Your expertise in workforce development and counseling will be essential in helping individuals achieve their employment goals.

**Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following tasks**:

- Establishes rapport with program participants.
- Conducts comprehensive intakes to assist participants with understanding and exploring their needs, strengths, interest, aptitudes, experience, and capabilities.
- Builds effective partnerships with external providers to ensure that participants have access to and utilize needed services and supports.
- Cultivating relationships with employers and coaching students on resume and cover letter updates.
- Provide career readiness assessments, data tracking, coaching, and supportive services
- 2-3 years of work experience ideally in a non-profit or higher education
- Relate openly and comfortably with students to encourage strong relationships and accountability.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including cold calling
- Organization skills and great time management; ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines
- Strong work ethic and commitment to produce high quality work
- Remote position
- Must be able to provide proof of previous consultation work such as a previous client list, EIN and 1099s.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Contract

Pay: Up to $1,230.00 per month

Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
