Laundry Aide

Job Overview:
Gibson Health and Rehabilitation Center seeks a detail-oriented and reliable part-time Laundry Aide to join our team. As a Laundry Aide, you will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and clothing are cleaned and laundered to the highest standards. This position is well-suited for individuals who have experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in hotel settings.

**Responsibilities**:

- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, and clothing
- Operate laundry equipment such as washers and dryers
- Inspect items for stains or damages and report any issues to the supervisor
- Follow proper procedures for handling and storing laundry items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
- Assist with inventory management by keeping track of supplies and notifying the supervisor when reordering is necessary
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in laundry operations, preferably in a healthcare facility.
- Knowledge of different fabrics and their care requirements
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy loads as needed

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
