Oversee the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of industrial anhydrous ammonia and/or R-22 refrigeration systems. Oversee the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of industrial and office HVAC systems. This position requires RETA - Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) certification or equivalent experience.

**You will contribute by**:

- Oversee Refrigeration, Electrical, and HVAC systems including monitoring and trending, troubleshooting and repairs (Compressors, condensers, fans, healing, cooling, contactors, motors, micro processors, frequency drives, etc.). Conduct preventive maintenance (P.M.'s) within established timelines (Oil analysis, filter changes, calibration of sensors and transducers), leak detection.
- Provide assistance to the Manager of Facilities Maintenance to ensure assets (Refrigeration/HVAC/Electrical systems) are managed in accordance with the following: IIAR (International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration), ASHRE (American Society of HVAC and Refrigeration Engineers), ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), EPA. OSHA and applicable State and Local Codes.
- Conduct required inspections and reporting, implement energy management strategies as outlined by management or corporate refrigeration team. Ensure product integrity is maintained through temperature monitoring & control. Evaluate and report equipment condition. Provide clear and concise communication to Management, etc.
- Responsible for logging time and materials into computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) on a daily basis in the form of work orders, P.M.s, etc. Responsible for communication of all pertinent information regarding system operation and maintenance to departmental management and refrigeration teams. Responsible for housekeeping and clean up of refrigeration machine rooms, refrigeration maintenance areas, and all project areas on a daily basis. Required to interpret and understand plans and specifications, schematics operating and maintenance manuals, etc. for systems being overseen.
- Assist management in developing standard operating procedures, and assisting in the scheduling of repairs and maintenance for refrigeration and HVAC systems. Assist in managing outside mechanical and refrigeration contractors conducting service, repair and new contract work.
- This position will also assist the building and material handling equipment maintenance teams. Duties will include assisting in general building repairs, electrical troubleshooting and repairs, forklift repair and maintenance, changing and servicing lift batteries, and other general maintenance activities as designated by the Manager of Facility Maintenance.

- Warehouse: Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)

**Skills**
- Ammonia Refrigeration & CFC Certification
- Special Skills: Glycol Systems, Computer systems operating platform, HAZMAT, Low Voltage Control Systems
- Site inspections, equipment inspections, mechanical repairs and replacements, all which require good mobility, physical exertion, walking, bending, reaching, climbing ladders, carrying tools and parts, etc.
- Review semi-annual service reports and make recommendations for corrective action of all action items.

**Years Of Experience**
- 2-5: To perform at a proficient level and be fully qualified
- 2 years: HVACR, Refrigeration/Electrical, Trade School Certification, or equivalent experience
- 4 years in Refrigeration/Electrical/HVAC
- RETA - Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) Certification Required or equivalent experience

Pay: $26.06 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
