**Job Title: Program Manager**

**Job Summary**:
FedWriters seeks an innovative and passionate communications-focused Program Manager to lead task orders supporting the publication of cutting-edge research that shapes and influences criminal justice policy and practice within the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). This pivotal role offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with top experts, drive impactful change, and enhance the journal's contribution to advancing justice and public safety.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Leading the coordination and management of all work done under the task order
- Planning, directing, and monitoring the work of team members, ensuring efficient task execution and dissemination of relevant information
- Identifying and assigning staff for projects, managing project issues, and overcoming roadblocks
- Overseeing all aspects of performance, including tracking budgets, schedules, deliverables, and ensuring contractual compliance
- Providing direction on projects from inception through completion
- Offering technical and managerial assistance on all aspects of project management to meet the technical requirements of the contract
- Serving as the primary point of contact for all support provided to the project
- Meeting regularly with the contracting officer's representative (COR) and attending other ad hoc and regularly scheduled NIJ meetings as designated by the COR and task monitor
- Using meetings to review reports, budgets, and discuss new capabilities
- Providing periodic status reports and summaries in the format directed by the NIJ COR
- Suggesting recommendations for report formats and delivery improvements to increase timeliness, information exchange, and cost reduction
- Focusing on providing a summary of data, graphical analysis, and temporal context for newly presented information
- Communicating with the OJP contracting officer (CO), COR, and bureau/office staff
- Coordinating with other NIJ vendors and program-related organizations such as the OJP Office of the Chief Information Officer, and grantees conducting communications work, training, and technical assistance
- Adhering to a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP)

**Required Qualifications and Skills**:

- At least five years of directly relevant supervisory or management experience
- Experience involving frequent, high-level technical, and time-critical needs in the marketing, media, and public information service areas
- Proven experience in managing projects with specific results and deadlines
- Superior oral and writing skills, as well as outstanding analytic and problem-solving abilities

**Work Setting and Environment**:

- Monday - Friday, normal working hours
- Work is to be performed remotely
