Custodial Worker/ Janitor

Custodian/facilities/janitor

**Part Time Opportunity - DAY SHIFT (Approx start time 9 AM)**

20-30 hours per week includes some Saturday hours

**AS THE CUSTODIAL WORKER YOU WILL**:

- Clean and maintain assigned area(s) to meet customer and client satisfaction. This includes safe sanitizing as per CDC COVID19 guideline
- Complete overall task which includes: heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, carpets, removal of trash and light snow removal.
- Properly cleans and maintain housekeeping equipment:

- Maintain a clean and orderly environment to project the safety and health of others.
- Follow procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transport to it designated areas.
- Report maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
- Secure the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required.
- Ensure security of church assets.
- Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement
- Adhere to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including complying with OSHA, state/local federal and City Wide regulations.
- Additional duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

**SKILLS NEEDED TO DO THE JOB**
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Willingness to work in a constantly changing environment
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling greater than 50lbs
- Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risk and exposure to hazardous chemicals

**ALL CONSIDERED CANDIDATES**

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.40 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
