**Job Title: Tour and Private Tasting Host / Wine Educator**

**Job Summary**:The Tour and Private Tasting Host primarily focuses on engaging intimate groups of guests in order to provide a unique and memorable wine experience. This individual is comfortable speaking in front of large groups of people and will be required to walk and stand for long periods of time both indoor and outdoor, in different types of weather as they lead groups through their tour and/or tasting experience. Hosts also serve inside the Tasting Room, on the Member’s Terrace and at Platinum Member
Events.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct engaging and informative wine tours and private tastings for guests.
- Educate visitors about the history of Leoness Cellars, our vineyard practices, and the nuances of our wines.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all guests.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of tasting areas, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Promote wine sales and wine club memberships through education and personalized service.
- Stay current on wine industry trends, Leoness Cellars’ wine offerings, and ongoing education in viticulture and enology.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Support winery events and special functions as needed.
- Escort individuals or groups on winery tours, or through places of interest such as the tasting room, barrel room, vineyards, and production facilities.
- Conduct educational activities for Members during hosted tours or Platinum Appreciation Events.
- Monitor visitors' activities to ensure compliance with establishment or tour regulations and safety practices.
- Provide directions and other pertinent information to visitors.
- Research and study various topics, including site history, farming, wine making, environmental conditions, and clients' skills and abilities to plan appropriate expeditions, instruction, and commentary.
- Drive Low Speed Vehicles to transport guests to tour site locations.
- Collect fees, coupons or tickets from group members/transportation partners.
- Assemble and check the required supplies needed to facilitate tours and group tastings.
- Sell wine, Memberships, and merchandise.
- Serve wine in Tasting Room, Terraces, and Barrel Room.

**Qualifications**:

- Passion for wine and a strong desire to learn more about viticulture and winemaking.
- Prior experience in wine education, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage with diverse groups and tailor the experience to various levels of wine knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
