**Position Summary**:As an Armed Security Officer at our City of San Diego worksites, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and secure environment for our residents. This role involves observing, reporting, and responding to situations as they arise, while also helping to deescalate potential conflicts and ensuring the facility's security.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Observe and report any suspicious or unusual activities within the facility.

Maintain a visible and approachable presence to deter potential security threats.

Assist guests and staff with access control and visitor management.

Handle security incidents and emergencies professionally and in a calm manner.

Deescalate tense situations and conflicts among guests using effective communication and conflict resolution skills.

Conduct regular security patrols.

Perform security-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

**Qualifications**:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous security experience is a plus, but not required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.

Physical fitness to climb stairs and walk for extended periods.

Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution.

Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.

Must be reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing work schedules.

Clean criminal background and professional appearance.

CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
