Construction Laborer/concrete Tester

Construction laborers/Concrete Testers perform a variety of tasks at all kinds of construction sites. Tasks that require little skill can be learned quickly; other tasks require considerable experience or training. General laborers are often required to work outside in all kinds of weather or in buildings without heating or air conditioning. On-the-job training is provided.

**Duties**:

- Inspect and test cement before and during the construction process to make sure that the cement meets all industry standards and safety regulations.
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete assigned tasks
- Perform general labor duties such as cleaning and organizing work areas
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of project

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a similar laborer role preferred
- Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools

**Requirements**:

- Bilingual (preferred)
- Must be willing to travel
- Must have a driver's license with a good record
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks
- Employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of his/her hands to manipulate, handle, and feel objects such as pliers, wire cutters, etc.
- Have ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, bend the body, to reach for objects, and to crouch when needed are also required
- Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds with regularity
- Availability to work outside the Austin area, in the state of Texas
- there are no minimum educational requirements to be a general laborer

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
