**JOB SUMMARY**

Empower young men, while incarcerated in the DOC, to expand their awareness of self, find purpose, and set realistic goals as they prepare to re-enter the community from incarceration as part of the Restorative Justice Program. Work with participants to identify, create, and maintain healthy relationships/community connections.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Process intakes/assessment screenings which include the Pre, Post and 60/90-day questionnaire
- Facilitate weekly psycho-educational and supportive workshops using circle practice in the DOC
- Work with participants individually to identify barriers to setting and achieving personal/professional goals and developing realistic strategies to achieving goals
- Work with participants to identify barriers to healthy relationships and develop conflict resolution skills/action plans
- Make community referrals to assist men in their re-entry process
- Work collaboratively with the DOC and DOC contracted programs to assist men in their identified goals
- Participate in weekly team briefing meetings in the DOC and with the RJ team
- Maintain accurate records
- . Provide accurate monthly reports that are sent to the funder
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor(s)

**QUALIFICATIONS**

Educational:

- High School Diploma

**Experience**:

- 3-5 years in a related field

**Skills**:

- Interpersonal skills
- group facilitation
- knowledge of program target groups
- awareness of client needs
- ability to effectively interview clients from diverse backgrounds to obtain facts and to recognize relevant case information
