Responsible for training, coordinating, and managing the activities of staff who are engaged in the safe and efficient operation of snowmaking equipment, ensuring that all standards, compliance, and performance goals are achieved.

Starting wage between $36.00/hr. - $45.00/hr. depending on experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Have extensive mechanical experience and/or training.
- A valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety practices and ANSI code.
- Must be able to pass Company certification as a Snowmobile Operator.
- Ability to operate equipment as trained; read and comply with documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Able to work flexible schedules, including second and third shifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to follow verbal and written instructions; as well as further develop and teach professional skills, abilities, and knowledge.
- Exhibit willingness to perform other duties as assigned or assist in efforts outside of department as needed.
- Develop, follow, safeguard, and teach Company and Department policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and operational safety practices.
- Manage department to attract, retain, and motivate the team; hire, train, develop, empower, coach, counsel, review, resolve problems and discipline when necessary.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, browser-based research tools, UKG and Sharepoint.
- Plan, implement, and manage the inspections; startup, positioning, deicing, and shutdown of snowmaking equipment; as well as advanced troubleshooting of equipment failure, determination of the best course of action to correct issues, and the completion of repairs.
- Lead and direct subordinates so that equipment operates safely and at a high degree reliability, for the maximum production and quality of snow.
- Manage staffing, safety, training, transportation, and equipment needs.
- Ensure that the maintenance and repair of equipment is completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all appropriate regulatory agencies by enforcement of operational, maintenance, and safety rules.
- Complete performance evaluations, rewards, and discipline.
- Create and manage budget.
- Respond to emergencies that might arise during off-duty hours.
