**Medical Receptionist**

**Medical Receptionist Job Responsibilities**:

- **Professionalism and Courtesy**: Demonstrate a professional, courteous demeanor with patients, visitors, and staff at all times.
- **Patient and Visitor Interaction**: Welcome patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answer or refer inquiries appropriately.
- **Patient Flow Management**: Facilitate patient flow by notifying the provider or other medical staff of patient arrivals, being aware of delays, and communicating effectively with patients and clinical staff.
- **Patient Comfort**: Comfort patients by anticipating their anxieties, answering their questions, and maintaining a welcoming reception area.
- **Patient Registration**: Move patients through the intake process including registration, collecting co-payments, deductibles, and other patient owed account balances.
- **Account Maintenance**: Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information accurately.
- **Confidentiality**: Protect patients’ rights by maintaining the confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
- **Policy Adherence**: Maintain operations by following established policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
- **Team Contribution**: Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- **Vendor and Visitor Management**: Direct vendors and visitors as needed to proper contacts within the facility.
- **Daily Preparation**: Perform daily preparation for the next business day to ensure smooth operations.

The Endoscopy Center is open daily from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. This job would be part-time, which includes working 24 hours a week. We are looking for someone who will be able to go full-time in the future.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in office administration or medical reception is a plus.
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual Preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with office software and medical record systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 30 per week

Healthcare setting:

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
