Johnstown, United States Pediatric Care Specialists Full time

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

Responsibilities include: answering the phone, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, maintain accurate medical records, collecting copays and balances and handing out medical screenings. As well, you will collect medical histories and current symptoms, prepare exam rooms and cleaning up after exam, vital signs, collect lab specimens and preparing them for analysis, drawing blood, if able.

Skills needed: Degree as a Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant. Knowledge of medical office systems and procedures and terminology, ability to work in a fast paced office, multi-task and prioritize work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Have the ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail and work well with others. Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Medical Biller you are responsible to ensuring accurate billing, timely submission of claims, monitoring claim status, researching denials, accurate accounting of patient ledgers, understanding of insurance payments and collections, as well as insurance eligibility.

Responsibilities include: Charge and payment entry, clarify with providers on incomplete information for proper adjudication of claims, analyze and interpret claims for accurate processing, process billing and collections, identify trends and carrier issues relating to billing, Pursue and participate in educational webinars and newsletters to remain current with changes in Healthcare billings.

Skills needed: knowledge of medical billing and electronic medical records and terminology, understanding of insurance laws and guidelines, organization and time management along with excellent communication skills, strong team player able to work with mínimal supervision. Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
