**About Us**
We provide child care and early education to children from 6 weeks - 5 years of age. Our educators are creative, nurturing, and dedicated to providing superior care while helping prepare your child for Kindergarten. We partner with Illinois Action for Children to offer Preschool for All and Prevention Initiative classrooms, and Start Early to offer Early Head Start and Head Start classrooms
We value growth and development by offering ongoing professional development, team building activities, and on-site CDA training. We also offer up to 50% of weekly tuition for childcare at the center for all staff.
We are seeking passionate, energetic, and reliable individuals to join our team.
Our teachers:
- Create a safe and healthy environment for the children in your care
- Plan and implement individual activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children
- Take the lead on implementing child-centered curriculum that respects the child and encourages decision making, cultural awareness and exploration
- Share classroom responsibilities with other teachers and teacher’s assistants
Our teacher assistants:
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for the children in your care by helping the Teacher to arrange the physical space into learning centers that encourage independence and self-selection
- Direct specific activities in the classroom as assigned by the Teacher
- Are a contributing member who assists the Teacher by setting up systems and sharing classroom responsibilites
- Accept responsibility for managing the classroom when the Teacher is absent from the room
**Education Requirements**:
**Teacher**:
Minimum Requirement: 30 college hours with 6 hours in Early Childhood Education
Preferred Requirement: CDA and/or Associate’s Degree (any field) and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development, or currently enrolled in ECE program working towards
**Teacher Assistant**:
Minimum Requirement: HS Diploma
Preferred Requirement: Associate degree and/or CDA certificate, or currently enrolled in a CDA program
Experience in a licensed childcare center preferred
**Salary**: Starting at $14/hr+ (based on experience and education)
