Kaizen is seeking a friendly, team-oriented, multitasking, server with great attention to detail from start to finish. - 19 years or older
- Liquor Certification through approved organization, and proficient in checking guest IDs and serving liquor legally and responsibly
- 2 Years services experience in a restaurant, hotel or catering environment
- Strong communication skills in a highly social environment
- Able to lift and move 50 pounds
- Able to sustain working long hours on your feet
- Should have reliable transportation to get to scheduled shifts and locations on time
- Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
- Ability to easily adapt to a new settings and new team members
- Can follow directives and instructions, on the spot, during busy times
- Outgoing high energy personality
- Ability to communicate accurate information and needs peers and managers
- Is problem and solution orientated
- Set up tables and food stations
- Greet guest upon arrival

Additional Requirements for Bartender Position:

- 1 years bartending in a full bar with experience in working the well (banquet and catering experience a plus but not required)
- General knowledge of most common beer types and wine varietals
- Knowledgeable of dividing tips based on an hourly system at the end of shift
- Experienced in working independently, and able to organize back up garnishes, mixers and alcohols so they stay cold or to appropriate temperatures, and you continue to have what you need through service
- POS experience

MAIN DUTIES:

- Properly checking guest IDs, when a guest orders alcohol, and serve alcoholic drinks legally as outlined by Arizona liquor laws
- Take care of all guest needs from the moment the arrive to the moment they leave
- Act as an information point of contact for guests, and be able to guide them in their needs
- Create an appropriate environment for guests, so they have a great experience, based on the type of event
- Obtain full knowledge of food and beverage items in order to properly educate customers about the events menu
- Maintain a working environment that is set up for success, by properly setting up and breaking down dining/bar area, stocking stations properly, and keeping server/bar areas organized throughout service
- Routinely manicure and bus dining, bar, and cocktail tables and areas
- Replenish buffet or other food stations and make sure they continue to look plentiful and are stocked with appropriate plate and flatware.
- Communicate product needs to management

Additional Bartender Specific Duties:

- Work with other bartenders on shift to set up all bar(s) stationed throughout the event space, and help each other throughout service keep stocked and the flow of guests moving steadily
- Prep any mixers, batched beverages and garnishes
- Make drinks according to guest requests
- Continue to restock items accordingly so they are served at appropriate temperatures.
- Put away extra liquor and keep back stock organized at end of shift
- During down time, come out from bar and help servers clear dining and cocktial areas
- Count cash tips and turn into managers at end of shift. (Full time bartenders will sometimes be expected to divide tips at end of night based on standard hourly tip pool)
- Run & close payments through POS type system for cash events
- Help facilitate and execute timed events during the evening, such as champagne toasts
