**Location**: Naples

**Education**
- Bachelor’s Degree in the human service field or equivalent experience.
- Two years’ minimum experience in the field of domestic/sexual violence, human trafficking, crisis intervention, or shelter setting.

**Experience**
- Energetic, independent, self-motivated, able to work under pressure
- Knowledge of criminal justice system and laws pertaining to domestic violence
- Cooperative, diplomatic, and relate well with all types of people
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Proven ability to work well with at-risk youth and/or abused/neglected children
- Understanding of child development stages
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Proficient computer skills

**Requirements**:

- Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccinations or exemption
- Must have a valid Florida Driver's License
- Must be able to pass state and national background checks
- Successful completion of Core Competency course.
- Successful completion of first aid and CPR class.

**Overview**
- Directs and oversees the child & youth residential services provided by The Shelter. Directs, supports, and oversees the emergency shelter advocates in the absence of the residential manager.

**Essential Functions**
- Models appropriate professional behavior and encourages other staff members to act in a professional manner.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Encourages active involvement of all staff in decision-making processes.
- Initiates and facilitates change process.
- Effectively manages time, projects, and multiple priorities.

- Operates in concert with the mission, vision, and strategic plan.

**Programs Responsibilities**
- Ensure all The Shelter programs operate in accordance with established agency philosophies and policies, including 24-hour staffing
- Manage all operations of the residence in The Shelter
- Provide crisis counseling for hotline callers and residential program participants
- Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork
- Supervise interns providing leadership, direction, and meaningful experiences
- Ensures staff follow an empowerment-based family advocacy model with all survivors
- Ensure licensor minimum standards are achieved in all areas of residential operations
- Serve as part of on-call rotation. Available 24-hours by cell phone. Other duties as may be assigned.

**Child Care Responsibilities**
- Supervise the total operations and maintenance of a Child Care Program.
- Plan, organize, and establish the type of physical facility necessary to meet licensure requirements.
- Implement program activities.
- Oversees the program’s special operations such as food and maintenance of inventory to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Plan and direct the activities of the Child Care Program.
- Plan, develop, organize, and evaluate activities and experiences for children.
- Develop and revise materials appropriate for assigned age levels.
- Purchase, inventory, store, and maintain supplies and equipment for the program.
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment.

**Human Resources Responsibilities**
- Recruits, hires, evaluates, and evaluates staff based on established criteria
- Train manages and provide performance feedback for all residential staff
- Plans, promotes, and models life-long learning practices
- Promotes continuous professional development for staff

**Program Participants Responsibilities**
- Ensure Empowerment based family advocacy services, resources, and referrals are provided on a continual basis
- Assist participants in obtaining needed services
- Advocate for participants with community agencies
- Provide food, clothing, personal items, etc., as needed

**Reporting Responsibilities**
- Complete reports and statistical information as needed to include performance tracking, grant requirements, donors, and certifying agencies
- Promotes clear procedures for collecting, documenting, and reporting data
- Submits monthly, quarterly, annual and grant reports in a timely manner
- Monitors and evaluates the program and uses the data for program improvement and accountability
- Operates in accordance with grant and funding guidelines
- Manages overall quality assurance process to ensure participant files and documentation is accurate, complete and meets minimum standards

**Resource Management and Allocation Responsibilities**
- Effectively manages and allocates the budget
- Develops innovative cost cutting measures

**Community Collaboration Responsibilities**
- Builds relationships with various agencies and institutions to enhance the delivery of services
