**JOB TITLE**: Phlebotomy Instructor - Simi Institute for Careers & Education

**SALARY RANGE**: $30.25 to $54.46 part-time professional expert hourly rate; $35.84 to $44.47 part-time California Certificated Teacher Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience.

**GENERAL**:The part-time phlebotomy technician instructor will instruct theory and clinical in the program. Instructor is responsible for the instruction, organization, administration, continuous review, planning, development, and general effectiveness of clinical experiences for enrolled students.

**Education & Experience Requirements**

**Professional Expert Qualifications**
- Certified phlebotomy technician (CPT I or CPT II) with 3 years of experience in the previous 5 years
- **OR** Physician assistant (PA), Registered nurse (RN), or Person licensed under Chapter 3 of the California Business and Professions Code
- **OR** Respiratory care practitioner (RCP) with 2 years experience in the previous 5 years

**Certificated Teacher Qualifications**
- Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching Credential: Health Science and Medical Technology
- **OR** Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential: Health Science and Medical Technology **AND** One of the Professional Expert Qualifications above
- Current resume
- Copy of the appropriate credentials
- 3-5 current letters of recommendation.
