This role will encompass a diverse set of responsibilities critical to the success of our fabrication process. In addition to programming Rhino saws, managing our standard library of Binswanger approved metal groups, and providing technical assistance to our team, you will also play a pivotal role in ensuring quality assurance and driving efficiency improvements within the department. Here's how you'll contribute:
Duties Include:

- Quality Assurance and Efficiency Tracking:

- Conduct regular quality checks and follow-ups on fabricated components to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Implement robust quality assurance protocols, including visual inspections and dimensional checks, to identify and rectify any deviations from quality requirements.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fabrication efficiency, such as cycle times, scrap rates, and rework rates.
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement in fabrication processes and procedures, with a focus on enhancing both quality and efficiency.
- Ensure fabrication follows the provided documentation and shop drawings.
- Process Optimization:

- Collaborate with various Binswanger teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the fabrication process.
- Implement best practices and innovative techniques to enhance productivity, improve throughput, and optimize resource utilization.
- Training and Development:

- Provide training and guidance to team members on quality assurance methodologies, efficiency tracking techniques, and process improvement tools.
- Help grow the abilities of anyone that uses Partner Pak/Glaziers Studio within Binswanger.
- Participate in the Binswanger continuous improvement culture, empowering individuals to contribute to efficiency gains and quality enhancements. This will streamline fabrication workflows, reducing lead times, and minimizing waste.
- Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain comprehensive records of quality assurance activities, efficiency tracking data, and process improvement initiatives.
- Generate regular reports to communicate key findings, performance trends, and improvement opportunities to management.
- Collaborate with management to develop action plans and strategies for addressing identified areas of improvement.
- Oversee scope review between Estimating, Purchasing, Drafting and Project Management
- Provide complete material take-off for purchasing to review and reprice.
- Identify three systems available per specs.
- Glass take-off.
- Hardware based on door schedule and hardware spec.
- Specialty items
- Set up meetings with PM and Drafting as required.
- Identify potential COs based on PR’s, ASI, VE’s, or field conditions
- Communicate with Drafting/Engineering what system has been identified by purchasing.
- Finalize all submittals and track progress.
- Develop purchase orders for materials.
- Develop fabrication releases as needed.
- Schedule Rhino Fab production

Job Qualifications
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information to suppliers, team members, team leaders, and management.
- Excellent facilitation and change process skills.
- Strong written, presentation, and verbal communications skills.
- A minimum of five (5) years glazing industry experience managing, planning, and coordinating project resources to ensure objectives are achieved within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters.
- Knowledge of glass industry dynamics and glazing products (fixed glazing, aluminum and glass storefronts, doors, and interior glass)
- Excellent client relationship skills
