2 Positions - (1) Elementary, (1) Middle SchoolWork with the building and district leadership to meet the goals of the district strategic plan and school improvement plansParticipate in regularly scheduled Coaches PLCs (weekly)Foster a collaborative environment in which teachers will feel comfortable trying new things, reflecting on their teaching, and receiving feedbackWork with teachers to identify and assess their strengths and areas for learning and growth based on multiple sources of data before planning for coachingWrite goals with teachers that are observable, measurable, and can be completed within a specified amount of timeDevelop action plans with teachers that provide step-by-step procedures for meeting the teachers goalsProvide supportive and constructive feedback to teachers about their practiceCommunicate effectively during coaching sessions and use language that has the greatest positive impact on the teacherReview and analyze teacher and student data with teachers on a regular basisDemonstrate a depth of understanding of research based instructional strategies that support the needs and learning styles of all studentsSupport teachers with program implementation in all content areasIdentify, design and deliver professional development opportunities based on teacher feedback and needCreate a coaching cycle that consists of pre and post meetings, observations, modeling, and data collection and reviewPartner with teachers to make informed instructional decisions based on systematic observations, feedback and ongoing dataSupport teachers in their own professional development as well as commit to your own professional development and growthDevelop the collective efficacy of educators to attain high achievement for all students and their diverse needsSupport teachers in efforts to calibrate student work and identify strengths and opportunities for growthWork with teachers regular coaching cycles 3 times per year (more cycles required for newer teachers). PDPs will be awarded with coaching cyclesCoaches will be evaluated by building principals, district coordinators and/or the Director of Curriculum and Instruction
