**Salary**:
$72,238 - 115,586 USD Annually

Job Summary:
Oversees all administrative, technical, and managerial functions of the Facilities Management Division of the Public Works Department. Work includes coordinating the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of all City facilities, including building expansion and modification. This position is responsible for planning and directing the activities of the Facilities Management Division and construction, maintenance, and custodial services programs. Assignments are broad in scope, requiring independent judgment and decision-making. The position reports to the Assistant Public Works Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Plans and directs the activities, projects, budget, and personnel of the Facilities Management Division of the Public Works DepartmentContributes to the Capital Improvements Program (CIP) planning process and manages multiple City-wide CIP projects related to facilities management-
- Hires, supervises, evaluates, and initiates performance improvement actions if work standards fall below expectations and sets work schedules for Facilities Management employees-
- Supervises and controls activity involving inspection, repair, alteration, maintenance, modification, or remodeling of City buildings and facilities-
- Attends and participates in meetings, conferences, and City Commission Sessions and acts on behalf of the Director as required- Technical- Embraces emerging technology and productivity tools with a willingness to learn new skills-
- Continuously monitors and works to improve work orders, service requests, and asset data in support of the City’s performance and data initiatives-
- Demonstrates excellent written communication skills; prepares well-written memos with technical information to be read by a wide variety of audiences-
- Plans, organizes, and directs preventive maintenance programs and makes recommendations to various departments for major repair activities-
- Coordinates Facilities Management Division operations in the areas of policy, budget, and program planning with other departments-
- Maintains a facilities maintenance electronic asset management system, which includes an inventory of all City facilities with recommended preventive maintenance or replacement of major building components-
- Ensures uninterrupted maintenance and custodial services for all City facilities-
- Coordinates public works operations with those of the other responding City personnel to ensure the highest levels of coordination and cooperation are achieved- Team Skills- Fosters positive communication with customers and coaches Team Members to improve communication skills-
- Supports honest and transparent decision-making-
- Collaborates with all Team Members in a way that builds upon ideas and takes personal accountability and ownership of projects, roles, and assignments-
