The UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks an Event Coordinator to assist the Events Manger in the organization and execution of all large events across the Cancer Center. This position will also be responsible for organizing and operating our weekly Seminar Series and Journal club meetings.

**Job Responsibilities Include**:

- Manage the Cancer Center Seminar series and Journal Club meetings
- Assist the Events manager with planning and execution of all conferences, symposiums, and large events.
- Assist the Research Administration and Strategic Planning Operations team with the daily operations of the Cancer Center. Which may include basic budget projection, supply and equipment ordering, maintaining databases, and supporting other ongoing administrative functions.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

**Minimum Requirements**
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: At least four years experience

**Physical Demands**
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
