Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and success of students in an academic environment? Middlesex Youth Treatment Residence, a division of Sentinel Group, LLC, is seeking a dedicated **Certified Classroom Teachers** to join our team.

Joining our team opens the door to implementing cutting-edge teaching methodologies tailored to meet the unique learning styles of non-traditional learners. Crafting lesson plans aligned with students' Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and core content areas, you'll integrate project-based assignments and a diverse array of assessment techniques and interactive tools to enrich student learning experiences. Throughout the academic year, you'll maintain a dynamic evaluation process, providing ongoing progress reports and quarterly grades to gauge student development effectively. **Responsibilities**:Full job description available at time of interview
- Collaborate closely with our school team to ensure the safety and well-being of our students during their academic program.
- Facilitate classes on weekdays during the day shift, offering year-round academic support with some vacation periods.
- Develop engaging lesson plans tailored to students' Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and core content areas.
- Implement innovative teaching strategies and assessment methods to support student learning and growth.
- Assess student progress and abilities throughout the school year, providing regular progress and quarter grades.
- Provide evidence of Individual Education Goal (IEP) progress for entitled students.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Educate and supervise students as part of the academic and treatment team.
- Provide instruction, grading, and assessment following the school curriculum.
- Implement students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and provide necessary support.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including lesson plans, progress reports, and evaluations.
- Direct and implement behavioral interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and professional development initiatives.
- Participate in mandated and assigned professional training.
- Supervise teaching assistants and contribute to the development of school activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Understand and uphold the program philosophy of Middlesex Youth Treatment Residence.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Certification by VT Department of Education in Special Education preferred, or enrollment in an approved certification program.
- Preferably, a bachelor’s degree in an academic content field (e.g., English, Math, Science).
- Two or more years of experience in instruction, preferably in middle or high school settings.
- Experience interacting with children or youth in various capacities.
