Samples Assistant

**Job Summary**:
The Samples Assistant will assist with the customer sample distribution program and ensure all requested samples are distributed accurately and timely.

**Essential Job Responsibilities**:

- Assist customer success team with our customer sample distribution program
- Responsible for ordering sample replenishment stock and keeping the sample area organized and clean
- Pull samples base on pick list
- Wrap and Pack samples for FedEx pick up
- Pull lists and complete Excel Inventory documents if needed
- Delivery product donations using Good Foods van as needed
- Comply with all Company rules, regulations, and policies
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications and Additional Skills**:

- Must be 18 years of age or older
- GED or high school diploma is required
- Valid Driver’s License and insurable by Good Foods Group insurance company
- Previous packing and shipping experience of perishable foods preferred
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge of food industry a plus
- Strong math skills required
- Ability to communicate with all levels of Team Members effectively in oral and written communication
- Bi-lingual English and Spanish is a plus but not required
- Ability to read labels and production documents
- Proactive mind-set, decision making ability and flexibility are important as well as the ability to work under just in time pressures
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
- Ability to take control of situations and follow them through to a successful end result

**Travel**:

- This position will require some local travel

**Work Environment**:

- Medium/High noise levels from operating machines
- Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts
- Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to enforce Good Food Manufacturing (GMP’s) processes

**Physical Requirements**:

- Able to hold stationary positions for extended periods of time
- Able to communicate information accurately to others
- Able to detect and discern sounds accurately in order to exchange information
- Able to move throughout workspace frequently
- Adjust self to stooping, reaching, crouching, and twisting positions on occasion
- Inspect, activate, operate, and position any appropriate machinery functions
- Able to move up to 40lbs. occasionally
