Farm Worker

Job Overview:
We are Houtex Cricket Farm. **We raise crickets for pet stores.**
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Worker to join our team. As a Farm Worker, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to farm maintenance and operations. This is a physically demanding role that requires **working indoors** in various temperature conditions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the farm
- Assist with, cultivating, and harvesting.
- Feed and care for animals, including basic animal husbandry tasks
- Operate and maintain farm machinery
- Water bins and maintain proper water levels
- Assist with maintenance, including changing filters, and cleaning dehumidifiers.
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform necessary tasks
- Perform basic math calculations for measuring and mixing materials
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in farming or agriculture is preferred but not required
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time
- Basic knowledge of animal care and husbandry practices
- Familiarity with operating farm machinery is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues is beneficial
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as needed

Note: This position requires the ability to lift heavy objects, work in different environments, and perform physically demanding tasks on a regular basis.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
