Shipping and Receiving

**Description**:
This listing of major job duties is designed to help the Shipping & Receiving Associate become aware of the major functions that are required to regularly perform in order to assist in the smooth and efficient operation of the department and to ensure our customers the highest quality possible. Employees in this classification must be capable of performing a variety of shipping and receiving duties in an efficient manner and within prescribed standards.

**Requirements**:
The Assembler, working from a build schedule, fits and assembles metal fab, machined, rotomolded, electrical, injection molded, and cast parts to build various floor cleaning equipment according to specifications, using a variety of hand & power tools.

2. Responsible for the quality of workmanship, function and cosmetic appearance of the product, and tool upkeep.

3. Assemble components accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approved specifications.

4. Works with the team for continuous improvement ideas to obtain a labor target of less the 3%.

5. Responsible for continually identifying and implementing efficiency improvements.

6. Inform supervisor of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem

7. Assembler monitors inventory levels and advises supervisor of potential part shortages.

8. Responsible for visually inspecting items.

9. Immediately notifies supervisor when problems arise.

10. Makes optimum use of time and keeps work area clean and neat.

11. Abides by all the policies, procedures, guidelines of the Company, including conformance to good common sense safety practices and regulations.

12. Will need to have basic computer skills and knowledge of hand held scanners.
